THE FLY-ASS NOZZLE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED, AS END USER, FOR THE RAISE3D-PRO SERIES PRINTER.

PRINTER, CHOSEN AS THE FIRST APPROACH TO 3D FDM PRINTING, FOR THE FUNCTIONAL USE OF TECHNICAL PLASTICS TO INTEGRATE THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES ABOUT PROTOTYPES OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGIES, OF THE LABORATORY.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE FLY-ASS NOZZLE, IN PARTICULAR THE SiC “Y” TIP, MAKES IT ANYWAY AN “OPEN SYSTEM”, THAT IS ALSO APPLICABLE TO ALL THE OTHER GEOMETRIES OF NOZZLES AND HOTENDS.

CURRENTLY IT IS AVAILABLE ONLY FOR THE RAISE3D-PRO SYSTEM AND FOR 1.75mm DIAMETER FILAMENTS.

SOON IT WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE TO HAVE THE AVAILABILITY OF A SiC “Y” TIP, SUITABLE FOR FILAMENTS WITH DIAMETER 2.85mm.

THE MATERIALS OF THE OUTER CONTAINER AND THE PERFORATED INSERT MAY BE CONSTRUCTED WITH ALLOYS DIFFERENT FROM BRASS, ABLE TO BE USED FOR PRINTING TEMPERATURES UP TO 500 ° C

FOR THE RAISE3D-PRO PRINTER (AND, IN GENERAL FOR 1.75mm DIAMETER FILAMENTS) THERE ARE THREE DIMENSIONS OF THE SiC “Y” TIP OUTLET HOLE:

  • 0,4mm
  • 0,6mm
  • 0,8mm

ABLE TO MEET PRACTICALLY ALL PRINTING NEEDS.

FOR EXAMPLE, WITH THE DIAMETER 0.4mm, CAN BE PRINTED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, LAYERS WITH A THICKNESS OF 0.05mm IN HEIGHT, AS, WITH THE DIAMETER 0.8mm YOU CAN PRINT LAYERS WITH A HEIGHT UP TO 0.6mm.

THE PRINTING PARAMETERS MAY REMAIN UNCHANGED COMPARED TO STANDARD NOZZLES AND “OFFICIAL” PRINTING PROFILES, SO AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO INCREASE THE PRINT SPEED BY EVEN 60-70%.

THESE FEATURES, CURRENTLY RELATE TO ALL EXTRUDIBLE MATERIALS UP TO A TEMPERATURE OF 300 ° C.

SURFACE FINISH

REGARD TO THE AVAILABILITY OF THE FLY-ASS NOZZLES, RELATING TO THE RAISE3D-PRO PRINTER, IN ADDITION TO THE NATURAL GLOSSY BRASS SURFACE FINISH, TWO DIFFERENT NICKEL-BASED SURFACE TREATMENTS OF THE BRASS PARTS, HAVE ALSO BEEN TESTED AND CERTIFIED.

IN THIS WAY THE AVAILABLE SURFACE FINISHES ARE:

  • POLISHED NATURAL BRASS (GOOD FOOD COMPATIBILITY)
  • SPECIAL ELECTROLYTIC BLACK NICKEL SURFACE TREATMENT, FOR RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION AND CORROSION AND AS AN ANTI-STICK PROTECTION OF BRASS. THERMAL RESISTANCE UP TO 300 ° C (NO FOOD COMPATIBILITY)
  • NIPLATE® SURFACE TREATMENT (CHEMICAL NICKEL + THERMAL TREATMENT AT 340 ° C FOR 4 HOURS), FOR THE RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION AND CORROSION OF BRASS, ANTI-STICK PROTECTION, AND A SURFACE HARDENING UP TO 1000 +/- 50 HV FOR THE MAXIMUM PROTECTION OF THE CYLINDRICAL HOLE THAT ALSO CONTAIN THE MELTED FLUID BUT WITH LAMINAR FLOW. THERMAL RESISTANCE UP TO 340 ° C. (GOOD FOOD COMPATIBILITY)

AFTER ALMOST A YEAR AFTER ITS INSTALLATION AND CONTINUOUS WORK 24/7 WITH ALL MATERIALS EXTRUDABLE UP TO 300 ° C …. AND ESPECIALLY WITHOUT ANY INTERRUPTION OR DISASSEMBLY,….. WHO KNOWS … .. MAYBE I CHANGE THE PRINTER FIRST …….THE FLY-ASS NOZZLE IT’S STILL NEW EXACTLY LIKE A YEAR AGO …… .;)
