THE FLY -ASS SiC “Y” TIP NOZZLE BELONGS TO THE “ASSEMBLED” TYPE CATEGORY, CONSISTING IN 3 SINGLE PARTS.

FROM A MECHANICAL POINT OF VIEW IT IS A SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION (LESS SIMPLE THAN A MONOLITHIC SOLID) BUT IT NEEDS EXCELLENT PROCESSING PRECISION TO HAVE A PERFECT ASSEMBLY.

FOR THIS, THE BRASS DETAILS WERE OBTAINED THROUGH CNC MACHINING ON A MORI-SEIKI LATHE WITH PRECISION AND REPEATABILITY +/- 0.005MM ABLE TO GUARANTEE ACCURATE DIMENSIONAL AND GEOMETRIC TOLERANCES.

THE “Y” SHAPED SiC TIP HAS BEEN MADE BY A “WIZARD OF CERAMIC CRAFT” THROUGH A MOLDING AND SINTERING PROCESS STARTING FROM A SPECIAL MIX OF SiC POWDERS. ITS DIMENSIONAL AND GEOMETRIC TOLERANCES ARE +/- 0.01MM WHILE THE SURFACES HAVE A DEGREE OF ROUGHNESS OF Ra ≤0.4.

THE THREE COMPONENT PARTS:

  • THE EXTERNAL “ENCLOSURE” THAT ALSO REALIZES THE COUPLING THREAD WITH THE HOT-END:
