THE PRINTING PLATE – FLY-ASS-3 + PLANE- WAS MADE IN COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIP WITH AN IMPORTANT MULTINATIONAL COMPANY IN THE SECTOR OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS AND, IN PARTICULAR, TOGETHER WITH ITS EXPERT IN ADVANCED AND INNOVATIVE COMPOSITE MATERIALS.

MY PERSONAL CONSTRUCTION DESIGN HAS LEADED TO THE REALIZATION OF A -TRI-LAYER TYPE- PRINTING PLATE.

IN ITS BOTTOM PART, IT’S COMPOSED BY THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM PLATE OF THE PRINTER IN USE. (THICKNESS 3mm)

AT THIS, WAS THEN APPPLIED, THROUGH A SPECIAL PRE-FORMED DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE, THE REAL PRINTING SURFACE, MADE FROM A COMPOSITE PANEL OF CARBON FIBER IMPREGNATED WITH A SPECIAL THERMOPLASTIC BLEND.

IT’S VERY IMPORTANT, FOR THE BETTER FUNCTIONALITY OF THE -FLY-ASS-3+PLANE- PRINTING PLATE, THE THICKNESS OF THE THREE LAYERS THAT COMPOSE IT, GIVEN “A” (ABOUT 3 MM), AS THE FIXED THICKNESS ACQUIRED FROM THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATE OF THE MACHINE IN USE (IN THIS CASE: RAISE3D-PRO2).

THE SAME SCHEME, VARYING THE THICKNESSES “B” AND” C” AND THE TWO RELATIVE MATERIALS, REPRESENTS AN EXCELLENT SOLUTION ALSO FOR FDM 3D PRINTING OF LOW SURFACE ENERGY MATERIALS SUCH AS PP, POM AND OTHER SIMILARS.

THE PHOTOS A REFERS TO THE FIRST PROTOTYPE INSTALLED MORE THAN 8 MONTHS AGO.

NEVER REPLACED WITH NO SIGN OF WEAR, AGING OR LOSS OF PERFORMANCE, AFTER, UNTIL TODAY, MORE THAN 3000 HOURS OF WORK IN FULL RESPECT OF ALL THE DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS DESCRIBED IN THE THEORETICAL PART.

AS JUST WRITE BEFORE, THE SAME TECHNOLOGY OF FLY-ASS – 3+PLANE CAN BE APLLIED TO THE MATERIALS WITH LOW ENERGY SURFACE LIKE POM OR PP AND OTHER BUT THE DURABILITY IS NOT THE SAME.

IN FUTURE, WE CAN HAVE ALSO A GOOD SOLUTION ABOUT, BUT NEED OTHER MORE TEST AND MORE TIME.
